The Unloved Dishwasher
The cleaning appliances of the modern home are often neglected in terms of maintenance and upkeep, with owners prompted to clean only when it stops working or performance drops. There is a common misconception that because an appliance was built to clean, that somehow it cleans itself.
Problems that can occur from not using Dishwasher Cleaner
It’s perfectly fine to get your dishwasher to do all the heavy duty labour that is washing up, but it’s equally important to look after your dishwasher as much as it looks after you.
There are two identifiers that tell you your dishwasher is in need of a clean. These include:
- An Unpleasant Odour
By using your dishwasher on a regular basis, over time there can be a build-up of grease and grime in parts of the machine that you can’t see. This may cause your machine to have a constant lack of freshness and even an odour in the long run.
- Grime building up in your Machine
Over time, grease and excess food particles can build up in dishwasher filter, spray arms and other hidden parts of the machine that you cannot see but just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. These hidden build-ups can reduce the water flow and efficiency within your machine, and unless you find a solution to clean the unseen areas, you’re effectively expecting a dirty dishwasher to make your dishes clean.

How to use
Cleaning your dishwasher isn’t as time consuming as you think. After removing any leftover food from the filter there is no need to get down on your hands and knees and scrub away, as a sparkling clean dishwasher is easy to achieve thanks to Finish Dishwasher Cleaner;
Step 1: Remove the sticker from the top of the bottle cap, leaving the cap on.
Step 2: Place securely upside down, in the bottom tray of your dishwasher on a cross bar (where you would usually set a plate, to prevent cap contact with spray arm.)
Step 3: Run your dishwasher on a super or intensive wash cycle that reaches a temperature of 65°C minimum.
Remember: To always follow pack instructions and use as directed. Only use Finish Dishwasher Cleaner when your dishwasher is empty and do not add detergent.
